I'm not shocked. I remember stating prior to its construction that it seemed too far removed from the city (where people reside) and with the new overpass, access would be more difficult for anyone traveling northbound on Nameoki.
It's also too far from most of the low-income folks in North St. Louis (not that we should target them anyhow), not accessble without an automobile (due to location), and the folks commuting from Alton & etc have no reason to stop here as opposed to a location nearer to home. Perhaps business will increase in the future, but nothing will fix that development's poor location.
It just makes better sense to develop the center of town along one of the cities main thoroughfares. This town is over-retailed anyhow.
