Sorry i worded the above wrong. I was trying to say, "unless they put breastmilk in a bottle, which is bottle feeding rather than a mother's breast, that way the father or family can feed aswell.
True the father can bond other ways,but during feeding, i feel like there is a bigger bond, as the baby looks up at you while feeding, they can get to know you better and know you will be there for them. (imo)
I'm all for breast feeding, if it works for you. It didn't work to well for me. My oldest I breastfed the first day and she wasn't getting anything. My second lastest a little longer which was 3 days and he was fussing, so we took him to the doctor and they said he wasn't getting enough to eat, so I changed to formula. My third I breastfed for about 5-6 weeks, he was the only one with no problem. I even pumped with him a few times. It was really hard to get him to switch nipples.
I believe breast milk is more healthier than formula and better, but as long as the baby is eating that's all that matters.
