my guess your son had a run in with the same auxillary that me and several others had run in with tonight. We was out there tonight and we took our puppy except she is cute, I guess some where it says no dogs aloud, I don't know. We walked by many Granite City Police officers tonight and employees that knew us not one of them said a word about our puppy. We wasn't the only ones out there with one either. Well this smarta** comes up to me with a attitude and says in a rude voice is the dog a working dog, I was so thrown back by his way of asking I said excuse me? He said is that a working handicap dog, I said no she isn't. He went on to come off like a as* and said well you need to take that dog out of here. I said I have like 8 tickets left so when I spend them I will be gone. I said why is it I have been out here a hour and this is the first time someone has said anything? He said "no one must of seen you". Ok at this point being his attitude was on my nerves he was talking like a teenager with no respect. I said really that is funny because I have talked to so many GCPD and Park employees an noone said anything to me, at this point his partner was walking off laughing. I guess I was the only one to stand up to his rudeness. He goes well I guess if no one else has said any thing go ahead and do what you must but please don't stay long. I said I will and I don't plan on staying much longer it is hot out here. After that he walked off to the next person with a dog. I was trying so hard not to tell this young smart mouth Police Officer wanna be off. I did good in my opinion at staying cool tempered. He seemed to be stopping at a lot of people to complain about something or another. If he would of came up and talked to me like an adult I think the conversation would of went a lot smoother. I was just in complete shock and the looks on other peoples face I think they was too, just by the way he talked. sorry I needed to vent lol.
