Do something nice for someone today. Started cutting my grass yesterday and got stung by several hornets. (Don't laugh) I was right in the middle of cutting my lawn when it happened. After going to the ER Mrs. O thought I should take it easy for the day. Sometimes she gets a little protective of me. LOL!
The kids are coming over tomorrow with friends so I wanted the yard to look good. I knew the heat today would keep me from doing too much but I wanted the yard to look good. A friend of mine came by a couple of hours ago and did my yard for me. He wouldn't even let me come out and run the weed eater.
I thanked him and as we sat together drinking a glass of tea I told him I probably would have pushed myself to get it done today, hot or not. He told me that his dad always referred to, "random acts of kindness", doing something for someone just for the hell of it.
After he left I got to thinking that I don't do enough of that kind of thing. I'm going to make an effort in the coming days to try to put those words into practice.
