    Wife of Former Governor Ryan Passes.... Archived Message

    As I was reading a little bit about Rod, I went to the Tribune as they cover their local man.

    Well then this headline was the main one instead of Blago --- http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/chi-attorneys-george-ryans-wife-has-died-20110628,0,6833851.story

    Former governor Ryan's wife, Lura Lynn passes away.

    She had been sick for some time and there was a public controversy whether or not George Ryan should be allowed some limited time with her.

    Some time was granted, but no early release.

    Anyway, Mrs. Ryan passes away at age 76...

    I will be respectful here, but there is still some irony with it happening one day after we learn that another Illinois governor will soon be imprisoned.

    But that's as far as I'll go with that thread, out of respect for Lura Lynn and her family.
