I have to disagree with alot that you have said opinionated. As we have discussed before I am a renter and have been renting the same house since 2005 with a great landlord who does live out of town but is in the area everyday working on properties. My neighbors both own and the only way you can tell myhouse is a rental from the road is the white color and plainess of the house, not because we dont take care of our yard trash and such. My landlord owns many many houses in Granite and that include 3 houses in a row on my street (which none of them look like rentals either. Two doors from me is a house that is "owned" that has a child molester in it. Another owned house by me has a probation officer visiting it a few times a month. There is a 3 strike rule for renters in this town and we have NO strikes in 6 years. I have an excellent landlord, my air went out last year and within 2 hours my 70 something year old landlord bought a brand new one and was installing it for me. He takes many trips a year and if there is a problem for us with heat and or air we call dixson and its fixed while landlord is gone. He makes sure all his T's are crossed before anyone in any of his houses has to go without something. BUT I also agree that there are many many landlords in this town who give it a bad rap, for example a long ago passed away landlord with initals P.S. would love to rent to single women and drug dealers. Drug Dealers always paid rent and single women gave him a chance to try and get goodies for rent. I just dont understand how homeowners can never cut grass, leave trash in their yard have gutters full of mud in front of their houses and weeds growing in their sidewalks but me being a renter and taking care of all those things brings down homeowners property values.
