Sorry to hear your pup is getting on in years. I've had a similar thoughts. Mine is only nearing the age of 3, but she's got a bum knee. My baby is in love with her (and her with him), but I think about how when she gets old and no longer spry, it'll break his heart to lose his lifelong friend.
