    Furthermore, I am glad the compromise was struck.

    Boehner was not happy and he made every attempt to show it. He might have been showed as too moderate in that case and too bad if he gets vilified for that.

    Moderation is the key in my book.

    Fence sitters are called a lot of things, but sometimes the most fertile is under the fence, so let's tear down the fence and plant flowers!

    I am beginning to think that these are the best of times for politics.

    I know there will be big rallying cries for 2012, both sides want MORE power.

    But this gridlock is GOOD for the people because BOTH sides have to generally agree to something before it is passed.

    Extremists like Bachmann will say this fight is temporary and that there will be other battles to win later.

    Maybe she'll try to privatize Medicare. (Good luck with that.)

    But in reality, extremists won't last too long and thank God our Constitution protects us and allows us to oust extremists if we're convinced they need to go or they haven't spent enough in the media to convince people they need to stay...in post-modern times it's more like that.
