    Very good post there Opi.

It's so true. I look at my family for example. People that I always thought would be there or live forever suddenly are much more fragile than they were when I was a kid.

Mom and dad's generation and the aunts and uncles -- many are now Grandma and Grandpa's age when I was a kid.

Most of my elders are still alive, but their elders are dead. I am thankful I got to know the grandparent generation at least a little bit. The prior generation didn't have a childhood with grand parents in my family.

People that taught me so much and modeled what it meant to be a man and then there were women who modeled what it meant to be responsible and to be infinitely patient and resilient with their quiet strength.

    It passes by so quick.

It does good to remember that and not let life pass by.

It's something I always try to keep at the forefront of my mind.

There's a lot more I could write about this...such as the money factor and everything else.

I just try to separate myself from the green and just spend that time finding what is life-giving and working toward doing what I feel I need to do before it goes.

It's good not to take things for granted or stand still wondering what to do as life passes on.

I just try to begin the day by counting blessings even as small as running water and the fact I will be able to eat today. I think there's so much misery in the world, because the more people have, the more they forget how blessed they really are.

There's a lot more to this but I have to leave it at that.

Good conversation Opi and a dialogue that we all ought to have in our own lives.
