opi, this thread and your comment reminded me, when Jack was running for president the first time around, he came to Bellemore Village and gave a speech, the high school let us out to go watch and listen to him. He drew a pretty good crowd, was you there or was you still in diapers? I also remember that his group borrow Judge Schuman's white Ford convertible for some of them to ride in, somehow it was involved in a small fender bender and they lifted it on a street in St Louis, the Schuman family had to go get it.
