This is all smoke and mirrors, and trumpping up the fear factor. Textbook GOP BS that means nothing in the long run. Comparatively, Illinois is still competitive as far as tax rates were concerned. It had one of the lowest rates and now it is more in line with other states. Much of this tax raise is also temporary. Chris Christie from NJ is just a blowhard who buys time in the media covering Illinois. It's too bad the hate machine is the only one that is getting their message out. Illinois will do just fine and there won't be a mass Exodus. St. Louis is the stupid one in all of this. Wisconsin and New Jersey as well as Michigan have gone on a media blitz with this. STL should be courting every Chicago based business there is. StL misses the boat again with its parochial 'not in my backyard' thinking. Not that I agree with this blitz to attract Illinois businesses, but if Chris Christie can open his big flytrap - why can't people in St. Louis? I know Slay is a Democrat and all, but his interests and Pat Quinn's would be exactly on the same page. Nothing is going to happen - but I believe Pat Quinn has been too passive in all of this. But since the GOP has shown its true colors in the Midwest, their approval is at an all time low. Polls suggest that if voters in Wisconsin and Ohio had their votes back, it wouldn't have gone to the Rich people's party. They preached a peoples' message to get elected, but didn't take them long to show what they're really about. Now that war has been declared on the working people, everyone wants to recall these tyrants.
