Granite City area is now under a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING, just issued by the NWS.
The main threat for us appears to be high winds, intense lightning and hail, some of which was reported to be 3/4 inch earlier. That's plenty large enough to give your car that pock-marked acne look.
Move em into the garage or under something sturdy.
I don't think tornadoes will be a major threat, because the rotation in the approaching cells just isn't there...yet.
