    Excellent post, Wyld_Rose. If you traveled around the areas highlighted in the Google image right after the storm the next day, you could tell something more than straight line winds caused such random, heavy damage.

    So, an EF1 tornado formed over the Chain Of Rocks Canal, briefly touched down at Route 3 & Rock Road in W. Granite, lifted, touched down again in the 2600 block of Benton, lifted again, touched down right in the 2800 block of Madison right next to the funeral home.

    It then lifted again, twirling right over St John's Church and Eddie's Tavern, then sat down again at the intersection of Wilson and Sunset where it gained the most momentum on the ground, lasting all the way down Wilson until it lifted one last time before finally touching down at the Maryville-Northbridge intersection.

    It then dissipated into the sky.
