Is useless, old points that have been discussed and refuted are being raised again. It doesn't make the death penalty more right. It doesn't make the bill to abolish it more wrong. So from his soapbox St. Dee says (intrepret that as self-deprecating humor): All it is doing is leading to personal cheap shots. I don't mind all of that, it's all a part of the dialogue. I'm just saying we're going in circles and it's getting farther from the point and again it is about the poster. I am against the death penalty. I know I'm not the only poster here that is, but even if almost everyone supports it, it still doesn't make it right in my mind. It does not deter crim. It does not bring solace for the victim's family. It costs more than holding someone for life without parole. Those are the facts and I didn't even have to go into why it was morally wrong. If you don't like my view, that does not make me a bad person. It does not make me a candy ass. It just means that's my view. I choose to support the fact that there is no good reason to inflict capital punishment. You may choose to believe the delusion that it does good for society and that revenge and retribution is a form of justice. That's where we have to part ways on this topic.
