Anonymous people on this board are still our residents and voters, Opie, and they do need to know their candidates to make an informed choice. It's like an open town hall meeting, here. Some tough questions really do need to be asked and answered, and this discussion board is a good forum for public awareness in our community. Trouble-makers and rudeness are usually called out pretty quickly by other posters and/or moderators. There are rules, and bad etiquette usually doesn't help someone's point. I also see nothing wrong with relatives or acquaintances, as residents, being considered among a pool of openly searched, interviewed, qualified applicants. If hired, I would expect them to do a top-notch job. There I go, being idealistic, again. Silly me!
