Our New Year's Eve Tradition is jumbo snow crab legs, shrimp, dips and crackers...a couple bottles of the bubbly, and a roaring fire, all in the comfort and safety of our own home.

As we have gotten older, we rarely make it to midnight to ring in the New Year, but we leave that to the novices to do that for us.

When we were younger, our children were quite popular on New Year's Eve. We were the parents who welcomed all our children's friends to stay the night, so that their parents could go out. We had a blast with the kids. We would play games, do puzzles and cook up goodies to eat all night.

And as I have gotten older, the years just seem to fly by so quickly.

Advice to the younger folks, take time and enjoy your friends and family while you can and they are alive. Those moments are the most precious of all and the memories are something you can't put a value on.

We can reflect on how bad the times are, how crazy the politicians are and that the world is going to hell in a hand basket. BUT, we made it thru another year, hopefully healthy, and we have friends and family to cherish.

When you tell someone Happy New Year this year, tell them that you love them too! That will go farther into the new year than just the traditional Holiday greeting!

God Bless You everyone! May this new year coming finally bring peace this world needs and at least enough prosperity for all to make it financially thru another year!
