So you didn't like it because of it's insinuation that the change in power happened because the author feels that Americans are stupid.
I felt there was a little much of that.
I was left wondering, where did he want to go?
Was we proving that 'stupidity' brought about this shift in power? Or was he trying to use that as an example to say that all of our culture is going to hell in a handbasket.
The political leanings kept it from being a solid commentary in my view.
I mean I agree with his observations about some of the craziness with airport security or a state that tazers kids. I agree with the observations on consumerism and the such.
But no doubt it was weak because he tried to put a smackdown on the right, while hitting the left with a wet noodle to give the impression that he was trying to be balanced.
