The basic problem is..once the stopped Maryville motorists see a right turn blinker coming from Stratford Lane, they assume the motorist is going to make a right turn and head north on Maryville, when their actual intent is to quickly turn left onto Emert.
So they bolt out in front of a legitimate right-of-way vehicle, leaving the Stratford car hanging in the middle of Maryville.
It's a basic design flaw in the intersection. But people who have lived here for any amount of time should know better.
