It is fun. My mom and dad used to do this when we were young. We could each take a friend and we were entertained with swimming and video games all evening and they would sit around the pool and drink a few and not have to worry about driving anywhere. Most of the nice hotels fill up fast on New Years. I think a lot more people do this now.
