When our kids were young, we would stay at a hotel close to home for the weekend to swim and feel like we were getting away, plus I did not have to clean house all weekend...LOL! Was a mini vacation for me. Of course back then, it was a Collinsville or Edwardsville hotel, Pontoon did not have any hotels back then!
