The military is the last stronghold of American law and order. Gary makes a good point about these men being brave enough to serve. In this day and age many people are still uncomfortable accepting the gay lifestyle. I'm sure there is some gay activity within the service but I believe it's best kept out of the public eye. If a man is an atheist in the service he doesn't go around broadcasting the fact. Why add the stress of this issue to those serving. No one is stopping the gay lifestyle. They simply don't want it out in the open in the services. Kind of like it wasn't in the open in daily life until about fifteen years ago. And haven't we come far since then.
