Original conversation
Regardless how the conversation became heated at times, even going off the rail at others, it apparently did not go unnoticed.
Here we are almost one year later, to the day, and we once again have a beautiful, fully operational, gorgeous fountain in the heart of our city. What apparently was of no concern to the previous Park Commissioner and board became a priority with the new Commissioner and board.
From the look of things, years of complacency and indifference by those in charge in the past might be visible in our rear view mirror. And that old adage about the "squeaky wheel" might be true.
Just as I can complain and gripe about something I don't like when I see it, I can surely praise and be thankful when I see something wonderful happening. I think our fountain is beautiful and I'm very happy to see it back in all its glory.
Thank you Justin Brinkmeyer and thank you board members.
