This is always after the obligatory full mouth set of xrays, and drained insurance benefits, and a referral to an oral surgeon, (because most dentists can't even extract a tooth these days) and in some cases an application in hand for a line of credit for tens of thousands of dollars to cover future costs for all the work they claim you need.
I can honestly see why they are some of the most hated professionals out there!
What happened to the day you could walk into the dentist's office with a toohache and walk out with a filling, or a mouth full of gauze, minus the bad tooth and a prescription for some pain medication or an antibiotic?
