Kids in my neighborhood can come home and grab an apple or an orange from the fridge. Hell most of them get enough money from mommy that they can stop at McDonald's on the way home and eat.
I look at the kids in the poor section of town and wonder what happens to them. Their parents put the family in the position they're in economically and some because of bad choices. However is it fair to punish a young first grader because mom and dad choose a lifestyle? That's my only issue with this. We have to find a way to serve better food to those kids.
I'm not looking to blame anyone. It's just an odd situation that our district can't get the same food as those around us. Has to be a logical explanation.
they did not fail, because they did what their country asked of them....
