Annie was a stray dog that I found on Edwards Street and I would take her walking with me in the morning about 4:00 AM hoping someone would claim her...knowing the odds were against me at this hour, Annie and me would head out on our walk...but it happened anyway.
We were at the half way point on Washington Avenue when a cab pulled across the entrance to the hospital and blocked me from continuing any farther on the sidewalk...and the cab driver asked me if that was my dog...and I told him my story. Well it seemed that Annie was named Pepper before I had gotten her for when the cabbie did call "Pepper", her ears perked up...and this was the same dog alright so I gave him my telephone number and told him to call me if he wanted his dog back...and that was around 2005. The cabby never called and I guess I had a dog.
I do believe the reason the cabby never called was because Annie was really hyper in those days...and she really did have a good home.
