What conference and type of industry are you in? I retired last march under the peer 80 program, at age 52 with 28 years in the western conference of teamsters. I worked under master freight and retired from ABF. My pension is just under $3500.00 a month, which is very comforable. My local,(542) told me the 50 hour restriction was only if I worked in the same industry,(freight) from which I retired,( not that I want or need to work anymore). I had major back surgery 5 years ago and this program gave me the chance to get out befoe I re-injured my back. The peer 80 is a great retirement program for people like me who started young in this business. What is your age and years of service? My only complaint is my health insurance just went up $55.00 a month,($110.00 for me and my wife). Anybody else out there?
