i would think she has something of a pension coming. she has the age...she has 25 years , that's good for something.
now, tri-valley would have to have a contract agreement with local 748, for all of her years, that way tri valley would have been placing money into a pension plan for her, over the years, along with health care benefits. she would now be on medicare at 72.
at time of retirement she would fill out papers with the union to verify all of her time with the union, and they will set up pension from date of retirement. it don't automatically happen , she has to fill out all of the paperwork. hope she has past paystubs in case the union has missing records of her employment. it is up to her to prove her union time.
so if she has proof of time (all 25 yrs) and the paperwork all in order with the union, and if they provide a pension for 25 years at such-n-such age, she should have something coming. call the office people at #748 and good luck, she deserves it !
