Why did your father wait until 24 years after retiring before inquiring about a possible pension? That doesn't make sense. Your father must be in his 70's 80's or 90's by now.

What company did your father work for? How many years did he work there, and how many years was he a Teamster? In what town or city did he live at the time? What Local Union was he a member of?

Who is the "they" as in "they told us..."? If "they" means some Teamster officials, then "they" should be the people you ask to investigate a possible pension, before you post on some message board.
