i have written many letters to local11 nyc and head office in wa dc,but to no avail. i worked in montreal for western union cablegrams from 1958or9 till 1974or5. because tarruff was too high, the company sold out to a local co. called cotc. the pension plan was that yrs of service and yr age added up to a certain total you could retire. so that made me invalid for pension. but heard from grapevine congress passed a bill stating this sort of pension was no good for applicants and they shud get some type of pension for the yrs put into service. i wrote a mr caine, pres union111, wrote a c. thomas keegelbut he forwarded to local 111. then daniel kane refered me to mr tom squires of human resources dept mci 22001 loudoun county parkway ashburnva20147, and thats when i recd letter from walter matthies of nyc ny local111saying not eligable for funds. over the years i have written, faxed and phoned these different agencies but to no avail. i wouldn't care that much about this situation, but down on my luck and was hoping that the brotherhood could see it fitting to help out an ex union supporter. I look forward to here from anyone about my delimma at your convience, thankyou in advance and oblige ed gibbons
ps:when wui sold out I was supervisor.
