PENSION RELIEF
Last October, Representatives Earl Pomeroy (D-ND) and Patrick Tiberi (ROH)
introduced H.R. 3936, the Preserve Benefits and Jobs Act, which is a
good start for stabilizing pension plans and saving jobs. Senator Robert
Casey (D-PA) has also introduced legislation in the Senate, the Create Jobs
and Save Benefits Act of 20 10 (S. 3157).
It's no secret that our pension is in grave danger. This legislation is a crucial
step in not only saving our pension but securing it! Why should only the
banks and corporations get money to bail them out? I believe that it's the
working people who are the foundation of our economy, not them! !
I urge you to contact your representatives in the House and Senate and ask
them to support these vital bills. They can be contacted by phone, e-mail, or
mail. Their contact information can be found on their websites. I have
already contacted Senator Schumer, Senator Gillibrand and Congressman
Ch11SLee. Also let your friends and family know that they can also help.
After all, we are all counting on our pension.
