In 1984 I started working for CF in NM under the Western Conference's Peer 80 plan (Local 492). Due to Change of Operations in 1995, I moved to Atlanta but was still paying into the Western Conf. After CF ceased operations in 2002, I immediately went to work for ABF under Central States (Local 728). I know Western Conf and Central States have a reciprocal agreement, but now Western tells me I have lost my PEER/80 due to break in service. In 2007 I will be 57 with 24 years between the two conferences. As I am still an active Teamster, how can the Western Conference claim I have a break in service when they supposedly have the reciprocal agreement with Central States. Shouldn't I be "grandfathered"? Do I have any recourse? Does anyone have any information or ideas? I would appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance.
