I'm writing a book about driving, kind of in memory of my Dad, who was a Teamster for many years before his untimely death on the road in 1975. He was a member of the Utica, NY local. I remember fondly playing with those cool colored pins he always brought home after paying his dues. Anyway, I know it's been a long time, but I was wondering if there are any retirees out there who still remember him, and if you might have any stories to share. He was a colorful guy, and I suspect more so around his buddies at work than around his kids at home. He worked for Associated Transport, Mutual Box Board, Revere Copper and Brass, and finally was with Old Colony when he died. My cousin Rod, who drove with Dad and later moved on to Yellow Freight out of Cleveland, unfortunately passed away just a couple of years ago, just before I started this project. I'd appreciate any memories any of you guys could share. Thanks!
