Hi all,
lead in. As usual I asked for the bad news first..he deploys for Iraq in less
than 2 weeks..he is in the midst of getting shots and being briefed on a
zillion and one things. The good news is they closed today on the house he
just bought and they will be moving in next Tuesday and he'll prolly ship out
at the end of that week...2 or 3 nights in his first house then off to war,
leaving my daughter in law and 2 yr old grandson all alone to settle in.
grow their own democracy...when he talks about it its the kids over there he
talks about..how their lives will be better as they grow. I do my best to be
supportive but as his mom I reserve the right to be scared for him. I watch
the reports...some of those little kids he thinks he will be helping get
trained to kill nice guys that think like he does.
more worried than I am now..so I have decieded to be pro active.I'm gonna set
up a webpage with a message board..for those families who have relitives
deployed. It'll be a safe place to gain strength and support and even to
gripe, I'll set it so they can share pictures too. I figure that'll keep me
outta trouble for awhile.
it in. Its times like this I miss hubby's physical presance...a real hug would
