Do spirits appear in pictures?

I've seen pictures where there are orbs in the picture, but has anyone ever seen a defined body? My sister in law (Melanie) was at her father's house. Her brother took a profile picture of her with her digital camera. When he looked at the picture he noticed a hand pointing to Melanie's nose. The wrist looks a little...undefined, it almost appears bony, but the hand looks like a normal hand, it's kind of odd because it appears that Melanie's looking at it. There were only the two of them in the house at the time, from the positon that Melanie was standing there was no way she could have been pointing at herself without her arm in the in the picture. I would post it, but I have no idea how. Does anyone know of something that's happened like that before?
