I awoke around midnight to the strong smell of coffee in my bedroom. I thought we had lost power for a few moments and that the coffee maker reprogrammed itself and was set off at 12:00 a.m. Well I went to the kitchen and I was wrong. We hadn't lost power and the coffee maker was fine. I went back to the bedroom and the smell was gone. My husband thinks I was just craving coffee. In addition to this incident, I went in to wake up my daughter and as she was talking to me I looked down and her silver ring was on the bed next to her (it's one that is hard to get off her finger). I asked if she took her ring off in the middle of the night and she was shocked to see that she wasn't wearing it. I said, "Oh, your dad would say you took it off in your sleep." She proceeded to show me how hard it was to get on and off. Anyway, I was wondering if something similar has happened to anyone else. I have heard of the smells, but not really experienced anything quite like the coffee trick. I think they know how much I like coffee and it REALLY does make me wake up.
