Yeah not much activity here... & life goes on I guess.
A few points on the pinion seal-
First make sure the vent is clear, but you probably already checked it.
Oil can migrate past the splines & leak between the flanges, giving the appearance of the seal leaking... but it's likely the seal.
A leaky seal can also indicate a pinion bearing or other failure in progress, but assuming that it is just the seal, yes it can be replaced, but it's a PITA in the car.
WARNING... there are 2 types of pinion setup, the early using traditional shims, & the later type that uses a POS collapsible spacer to set the pinion preload.
On the early shimmed type, remove the flange & seal, being careful not to lose any shims, reassemble & just torque it back down hard.
On the late collapsible setup, you're supposed to change the spacer & reset the preload whenever it's serviced, pretty much impossible to do accurately when all is assembled.
Now having said/typed that, if it's a late type, the seal can be changed but the pinion nut has to be tightened so that it returns to the exact same "clock" position that it was in before, so mark everything prior to taking it apart.
If the pinion/nut is drilled for a pin, it's a solid spacer; a nyloc nut suggests it a late unit.

Hello Glen,
Our forum seems to be dying. That's sad. I have a question since you have a lot of knowledge about our GT6's. My differential is leaking from the front seal. Is it possible to replace it without taking the differential our of the car?
Thanks and have a nice day
Oscar
