I was just cleaning that all up in prep for assembly..

That's hopeful news PJ. BTW: There are "3" versions of the transmission. The T50 with a 16x68 mm input bearing and 20 spline output shaft; the T50A with a 16x68 mm input bearing and a 22 spline output shaft: The T51 with an 18x68 mm bearing and 22 spline shaft. I would guess that you're looking for the 18x68 bearing. Yup-not easy to find, but still available. One really important note: DO NOT LOSE THE INPUT BEARING SPACER! It is a specific thickness, unique to individual transmissions. Several used to be available with varying thicknesses to meet specific assembly needs, but they've been out of stock everywhere for at least a decade. I had to "make" my own.
I checked with Jamie Houseman up in Ontario and he has the exact kit I need. Hopefully we can come to a price and I can get on with this rebuild. Next time may be another story..
Thanks for your input. P.J.
Yes what Dan suggested, or see if you can cross-reference the part #.
I can go through my old catalogs if you want to post or send me the ## but the 'net would likely yield more up to date info.

Hi All.
I am once again putting my t 50 trans. back together and into my GT6. I have found however that two or three bearings are in questionable condition and I would like to replace them. During my search for the bearing I need, I have come to find out that there are two different styles of T50 transmissions. They are identified by the input shaft bearing size. As it turns out, the trans. I have is the one that the bearing are "not available" for. Does anyone know of a source for hard to find Japanese bearings? or does anyone have any lying around new and perfect??
Thanks. P.J.
