I made the decision to tinker with a conversion using an XJ6 tachometer. I will post pictures when/if that is successful.
I will be working on a Mk1 GT6 tach which has a single turn signal jewel at the bottom. The Jag tachs have (2) jewels at the bottom, one for the turn signal, the other used for different things over the years.
If one of you has a derelict or un-installed Mk2 or later GT6 tach, could you measure the distance between the centers of its (2) jewels? You can measure this on the back where the (2) lamps are installed. I'm just curious if it will be the same center-to-center spacing as the Jag used. Though it won't affect my conversion it would be nice to know if a Mk2 GT6 tach could directly use the XJ6 case.
