That's what I thought..........they couldn't find it. Have to send it in for them to profile. Looks like I pick another cam from the "cam forest" of days gone by...

: I am sure you tried online searches
: already without success. I searched
: for your cam part number and could not
: find it either. What I did notice from
: the Crane master catalog is that the
: first part of the part number (F-234)
: suggests that the cam is for solid
: lifters (duh) and that it has 234
: degrees of intake duration measured at
: 0.050"" lift. Obviously that
: doesn't help with knowing what angle to
: set the cam at and I couldn't decode
: that from the part number. Since Crane
: is still operating, why not contact
: them and ask if anyone there can dig
: trough the archives to find the
: information you need.

: After talking to Jim I got fired up on
: my
: "oldest" Spitfire project.
: Have torn the engine down and have
: everything gathered up but in the last
: 40 years have lost the cam card. Hoping
: somebody might be a pack rat like me
: and have the info. It is a Crane Cam
: F-234-295-2-8. Thanks in advance!!
