Don't know about a '68 128, but I had a '69 124 Spider and it did have high back seats. However, I took a closer look at the visors and it looks as though the Mystery Car's are full-length and notched for the rear view mirror.
I have checked every roadster of the period I can think of including such things as the Datsun 2000, the 280SL and the P1600, and "none" of them have notched visors. And surprisingly very few have fender flairs at all.
Of the cars I seen, the TR6 is the only one to have a flair that almost goes horizontal, but I still think it may be something else.
I'll concede the Trophy just on probability, but I want an honorable mention at the ceremony!

: Nope !! 1968/69 128's were low back
: seats AND if you look at the VISORS
: -they aren't Fiat. (Another clue for
: TR6)

: P.S. I'll take my prize in NOS parts !

: The high back seats, fender flair and
: little "Hip Bump" could point
: to a TR6 (definitiely not a spitfire -
: no chrome trim strips along the top of
: the front fenders and a possible hint
: of wing-windows). However, I believe
: the lack of that long trim crease
: running the length of the car and the
: slight taper to the front end rule out
: the TR.
:
: Gentlemen: I give you the Fiat 124
: Spider .
:
: You may hold the applause for the
: formal awards ceremony.

:
: Came across this Woodstock photo and
: wondered if anyone can confirm that the
: silver car in the lower left of the
: picture is a spitfire? Sure looks like
: it. Cheers!
