I'm considering this myself for an upcoming project. Since it has been sitting for at least 15 years, requires renewing the entire braking suytem, so I have an opportunity.
BTW, I'm not the language police, not trying to correct anyone, but 'silicon' is a hard crystaline element, use to fabricate transistors and integrated circuits, while 'silicone' is a synthetic elastomer that can be formulated to yield fluid, solid, or rubberlike products.
