"The engine/gear box angle"
What do I miss here?
The input shaft to the gear box should be as exactly in line with the crankshaft as can possible be achieved.
And how is the rear gearbox mount a factor? The engine and gearbox are tightly bolted together. CHnage the height of the rear of the 'box, and whole engine/gearbos will move as one piece.
Do you mean that you wnat that to be horizontal? So that the splash lubrication in the box does not starve any parts? That seems a valid Q, and one that I would solve by a trial installation of the engine/gearbox onto the bare chassis. Bolt the engie up forrard, set it horizontal and measure where and how jight the rear moutns need to be.
Simpels!
