MGF/R100 hub is considerably stronger than the original. The modern bearing pack is alot easier to work with too.
It's a nice conversion and works well. The drawback for US folks is that none of the donor vehicles (Rover 100, aka Metro and Volvo 340) ever made it to the US market. I can sell parts but it will cost about the same as the Canley set-up, plus shipping plus core surcharge (or return shipping). An alternative would be to get your vertical links machined locally (fairly simple operation)and just import hubs, shafts and adaptors. It is quite possible that it could be duplicated more or less using parts from cars that are common in the US.
