Hi.
Yes webers will fit under the hood with a TR6 engine but there is very little clearance. I had to lower the steering rack about 1/4 inch and lower the engine the same.. Triumphtune stepped down intake still was a bit too high so I recut the gasket surfaces of the manifolds. The surface which mounts to the head I cut to drop the carbs down. And the surface which the carbs mount to I cut to raise the carbs up. That way the cabs stay in the level position but ended up about 1/4 inch lower.Yuo will have to dink around to get those angles just right. The biggest problem after that was to find fuel lines and fittings that fit. So now that it's done I hardly even remember the PITA that it was untill someone brings it up...Now I'm thinking that PI is really a much better system cause I'm still having a little trouble with mixture control with the webers.. HTH P.J.
