: Tim,
: How are you attempting to push them in?
: A Vise can do the trick, but a couple
: of thick washers on each side and a
: through bolt&nut will also do the
: trick.
: Did you clean up the bores on the
: A-arms that they fit into?
: A small brake hone, or a sanding
: cylinder in a drill ought to be enough
: to clean up any burrs.
: Warm the bushings thoroughly first, hot
: water should do the trick.
: Did the bushings come with lubricant?
: ISTR that the lube is silicone based.

: Has anyone ever fit poly bushings in
: there spitfire? I am having a hell of a
: time trying to get them in!!!! I bought
: the stiff red ones, and soap and water,
: penetrating oil etc. and they just
: don't want to go. Do you install them
: with the center metal sleeve inside or
: without? I tried both and neither works
: that well. HELP!!! Anywone?

I had the a-arms sandblasted and they are clean. Carter, should the inner metal sleeve be inside or should I remove it first? I am using a vice. But will heat them up first too. Thanks,Tim
