Half-Shaft repairs

Got a "Flinger" working it's way open on the drivers side, and stiff rolling resistance on the right trunnion. I recently received nearly the complete rebuild kit [seals, bearings etc] from Nigel at SpitBits. Ok so far. Before I go and try and build my own special tool for pulling the hub, does any one re-build these as a service? I have a spare right assembly from a donor '79 that I plan to "exchange/use" for now. Any ideas?
