First question. Was any work done just prior to shaking? Happened to me in 1970. The dealer replaced the U-joints and tightened the bolts on the drivshaft plate without it being seated. Took 10 years to figure that one out. I love-hate that it happened. Sure it couldn't be driven over 45 but the car would have been long dead without it.
