you might try to contact Kas Kastner, who ran the US Triumph race effort in the 60s and successfully campaigned the GT6. His website is www.kaskastner.com and his email address is on there. He will surely know what you have, and is active with the informal US Triumph vintage organization today, so I know first hand that he responds to inquiries. SAH is a British aftermarket preparer that will pop up if you Google them. Keep us posted - you may have picked up a rare piece of history!

: brought a GT6 home this weekend. Never
: owned a triumph before. Have lots to
: learn.
: Paperwork indicates car was factory
: competition prepared. one of five
: consecutively numbered cars that left
: the factory with competition
: preparation then were shipped to SAH
: for further preparation, then to USA.
: Who is SAH? Was this common pratice?
: Would the car have been a 'special
: order'?
: I bought the car from the original
: owner. It is still in very nice
: original, unrestored condition.
: Where do I look for more information?
