In the 80's when I had a side business working on cars and ignition boxes on certain cars were too expensive, I would buy the Ford ignition box (Blue Gourmet, I think) for less than $20 and rewire the system. It always worked. The only time I used it is when there was only one pick-up coil in the distributor. Therefore, if you already have an electronic ignition distributor, the above might work better. I used a Ford shop manual that showed the wiring diagram. Just a suggestion. I had a lot happy customers that did not have to spend so much money.
