My GT6 has a high speed (over 4500 RPM) misfire and I'm hoping that your collective wisdom can help me. Car runs a mallory dual point mechanical advance distributor. Last outing, everything was fine until the car got soaking wet - this may or may not be connected to the symptoms. I thought it was bad wires - changed those. I have since swapped out cap, rotor, points, condensor and coil to no avail. Oddly, engine seems fine in the garage - though I don't hold it at high rpm for more than a second - but under load it breaks up. I believe i have set the dwell correctly (29 degrees on leading set, about 35 degrees total) but oddly the problem seems to diminish with the second (trailing) set of points blocked open.
I also checked fuel, but bowls are full and nothing has been changed on the carbs and its not running like its low on gas - just intermittent spark Suggestions?
